Product overview

From the manufacturer Which Bach Mouthpiece is right for you? Classic Series Vincent Bach was a rare combination of artist and engineer. He constantly changed his mouthpieces in search of the perfect design. It wasn't until the mid 1960's that he stopped and finally settled on more standardized design. It was around this time that the formalization of the 27 throat and backbore to cup letter (A=24, B=7, C= 10, etc.) created a standard for mouthpiece making that is still used today. These standards are now known as the Classic Series. Artisan Series Hearkening back to Vincent Bach’s early 1920’s New York designs, Artisan mouthpieces combine the playability of Bach’s Classic inner cup dimensions with the softer rim designs and greater outside mass of his early mouthpieces. These mouthpieces come standard with a 24 backbore and a 27 throat. Both of these design elements significantly differentiate the response and sound clarity of the Artisan series from the Classic Series. Megatone Series Mega Tone starts with genuine Vincent Bach mouthpiece designs and more than doubles the outside mass. This darkens the sound and allows playing at higher dynamic levels without distortion. Mega Tone slots extremely well so pitches center dependably, and a slightly larger throat affords less resistance and greater flexibility. The result is a warmer, more powerful sound that adds a new dimension to concert, pop and jazz playing. 3511HC 3513C 3515C 3517C 35110HC Add to Cart Add to Cart Add to Cart Add to Cart Add to Cart Customer Reviews 4.7 out of 5 stars 99 4.8 out of 5 stars 922 4.7 out of 5 stars 331 4.5 out of 5 stars 238 4.6 out of 5 stars 65 Price $64.00 $ 64. 00 $49.97 $ 49. 97 $65.00 $ 65. 00 $65.00 $ 65. 00 $65.00 $ 65. 00 Model 1.5C 3C 5C 7C 10.5C Playing Level Specialty - Classical Pro Intermediate Beginner Specialty - Lead Cup Depth Medium Medium Medium Medium Medium Approximate Cup Diameter 17.00 mm 16.30 mm 16.25 mm 16.20 mm 15.90 mm Rim Shape Medium Wide Medium Wide Medium Wide Medium Wide Medium Wide Rich History with Quality Products Vincent Bach was a rare combination of artist and engineer. He personally designed the tools and composed the plans that continue to set the high standards for making all Bach products today. Bach trumpets and trombones are the standard for more major symphonic orchestras than any other brand. When selecting a mouthpiece, a brass instrumentalist should choose one with a solid, compact tone of large volume. A carefully selected Bach mouthpiece can help improve a player’s embouchure, attack, tonguing and endurance. Combining the best attributes of brass models available in his day into a single design, Vincent Bach created the undisputed standard of excellence for modern trumpets and trombones. A mechanical genius and acclaimed trumpet soloist, his instruments and mouthpieces are used today in every major studio and orchestra in the world.
