This model is made for Bradford White heaters and replaces the anode in the hot water outlet port, so redirecting the hot water pipe is required using the included Wye (Y-shape) fitting. The stainless steel Wye parts may feel hard to tighten and this is normal. Stainless threads need firm force (Basic installation skills are recommended). Use gray Teflon tape for stainless steel.
